How should an overnight assignment be organised?

Record the dates, destination and reason for overnight stays, then arrange transport, accommodation and meals. Before departure, choose actual-cost reimbursement or an allowance permitted by the applicable scheme. Retain bookings and evidence and deduct items already paid directly by the company.

Can trains, flights or taxis be reimbursed?

Yes, when the transport is for business. Attach the ticket or invoice and record the date, route and assignment purpose. If the company booked and paid directly, record the expense without reimbursing the traveller again.
